Dominican President inaugurates million dollar Texaco station in Bavaro.

Texaco’s 1 million dollar investment in its La Internacional station, located in the city of Bávaro in the province of La Altagracia, was unveiled earlier today in the presence of Dominican President Danilo Medina.
The opening ceremony was chaired by President Medina who was accompanied by AACSA President Amable Aristy Castro, Senate Chair Ms. Cristina Lizardo, Minister of Public Works Mr. Gonzalo Castillo, Minister of Tourism Francisco Javier, GB Group CEO Mr. Reuven Bigio, GB Energy CEO Mr. Pablo Portes, GB Energy shareholder Mr. Domingo Bermúdez & GB Energy Sales Director Ms. Rosanna Grullón.
During her speech, Ms. Grullón mentioned how “this modern fuel & service station – known as La Internacional envisioned with Texaco’s new image titled ‘20/20’ – belongs to GB Energy’s esteemed network of revamped stations which continues to reinforce our long-term commitment to growth, development and investment in the country.”
Ms. Rosanna Grullón further explained how “in consideration of service & fuel supply needs in the Eastern-most part of the country, GB Energy has developed a strategic plan focused on optimizing the service extended to customers, which in the retail segment includes the addition of new service stations.”
Since its 2013 arrival in Dominican Republic, GB Energy has remodeled over 25 Texaco service stations which are now equipped with latest and the most advanced generation dispensers enabling fuel supply optimization while offering a swifter transaction with the customer. These stations also boast new technologies such as Light Emitting Diode (or LED) lighting and LED price boards as well as revamped convenience stores all framed within GB Energy’s corporate “Customer First” philosophy.
