GB Group proud sponsor of the annual NAAHP conference in South Florida

Miami, Florida, November 14th, 2015 – Today marks the conclusion of the 4th annual National Alliance for the Advancement of Haitian Professionals conference being held at FIU’s Kovens Conference Center which began this past Thursday where GB Group was a proud sponsor featuring its 3 most recent flagship projects: Challenges (Haiti’s first & only weekly news magazine), G Capital (Haiti’s first international capital raising platform) & Port Lafito (Haiti’s first & only Panamax port).

This year, the conference focused on the interrelated themes of advocacy, philanthropy and social entrepreneurship in the context of uniting and strengthening Haiti and its Diaspora. Dominant thinkers on Haiti’s development and civil society came together to discuss effective collaboration between governments and their diaspora via keynote speakers, panel discussions, debates and workshops.

GB Group’s own Richard Noritake, Executive Vice President for Capital Markets, led an interesting workshop about Foreign Direct Investment through Integrated Economic Zones in Haiti before unveiling G CAPITAL: a GB Group company specializing in capital raising and financial engineering to develop optimal capital structures for its clients.

Also in attendance and representing Challenges magazine (published by GB Group company Caribbean Media) was Alexander Thevenet, Challenges News Director, accompanied by GB Group’s Marketing President & Caribbean Media CEO, Laurence Bigio.

Both GB Group Chairman Gilbert Bigio and GB Group CEO Reuven Bigio attended the renowned event as a demonstration of further supporting the NAAHP cause and stressing the importance of empowering the Haitian diaspora.
