Punta Cana, Dominican Republic February 8th & 9th, 2019.- Over 20,000 people enjoyed the 11th annual Punta Cana Carnival this weekend in all its splendor where GB Energy – Texaco was once again, a proud supporter.
GB Energy – Texaco was vivaciously present at Punta Cana Village’s November 1st Boulevard as one of the main sponsors of the highly anticipated Punta Cana Carnival. The parade has been gaining popularity among tourists and residents consistently since 2008 becoming one of the country’s main yearly attractions.
From the GB Energy – Texaco stage, company executives proved to be happy hosts alongside friends, family, clients, associates, and partners. There, in the midst of the typical vibrant atmosphere that characterizes the Dominican carnival, attendees spent pleasant moments while admiring the myriad of comparsas (dance troops), enjoying lively music and basking in the incredible ambiance.
Comparsas from Miami, Costa Rica, Grand Cayman, and Haiti inaugurated the Carnival followed by a selection of the best comparsas of the Dominican Republic.

About the Punta Cana Carnival: The Punta Cana Carnival has been an anticipated event held for 11 years since 2008 thanks to the Punta Cana Group’s initiative and corporate social responsibility program in order to positively contribute to the country’s image submerging thousands of tourists in the Dominican Republic’s cultural and folk traditions as well as those of other Caribbean islands. Proceeds benefit the Punta Cana Foundation.
