GB Energy Texaco Jamaica celebrates annual retailer conference

On Friday, May 11, GB Energy Texaco Jamaica hosted its annual Retailers’ Conference at the Royalton Hotel in Trelawny. This one-day conference served as an opportunity for Retailers to discuss general issues affecting the group, as well as future initiatives that will be implemented and also allowed them to meet and interact with the staff, in an on-going effort to maintain and strengthen the relationship between the retailers and the corporate office.

This year’s conference saw a number of guest speakers, including William Mahfood, Chairman of the WISYNCO Group, who spoke about the future of the fuel industry, and Dr. Andrew Wheatley, Minister of Science, Energy & Technology, who spoke about the government’s commitment to the development of the energy sector.

In what came as a surprise, the retailers gave GB Energy Texaco Jamaica CEO, Mauricio Pulido, an award recognizing his continuous efforts to strengthen the relationship with the retailers, since his arrival in Jamaica in 2012. In his response, Mauricio thanked the retailers profusely and reiterated GB Energy’s commitment to their overall growth and development. He reminded the retailers that GB Energy stands ready to assist them in any way possible, and looks forward to seeing the expansion of the Texaco network island-wide, as we approach Texaco’s 100 years in Jamaica anniversary in 2019.
