LPG now available in GB Energy Texaco Jamaica!

GB Energy Texaco Jamaica now offers LPG in is stations!

On Friday October 5, 2018, GB Energy Texaco Jamaica officially launched Autogas in the capital city, Kingston. Speaking at the launch held at the first Texaco station on the island to offer this alternative, Mauricio Pulido, CEO, said that the use of LPG will benefit motorists as well as the environment.

“LPG is a cleaner fuel than traditional gasoline and burns more efficiently in the motor producing less contamination. LPG for cars reduces CO2 (carbon dioxide) emissions by 25%  when compared to gasoline which. As of today, LPG will be sold at a reduced price at the pump when compared to the price of regular gasoline.” Pulido said.

Prime Minister of Jamaica, The Most Honourable Andrew Holness, who was the guest speaker at the event said, “Jamaica welcomes GB Energy Texaco’s initiative to supply the LGP product to the local energy market… We see the introduction of LPG as an innovative move that diversifies the options for our consumers,” he added.

A number of countries have been using LPG as a cleaner and more economical solution for public and mass transportation.
