The airline recognized GB Energy Aviation’s high degree of service and professionalism
Punta Cana.- GB Energy Aviation has received a special recognition from United Airlines for its support and level of service provided during 2015 as the airline’s fuel supplier for all its aircraft at Punta Cana International Airport.
United Airlines highlighted the professionalism of the GB Energy Aviation team, as well as the security protocols and timely delivery of services that GB Energy Aviation efficiently provides during its operations.
“We are very pleased with the level of commitment and timeliness of GB Energy Aviation when fueling our aircraft, a task performed with a high degree of professionalism. This is why we want to provide this recognition”, said Marisol Turbi, Manager of United Airlines.
During 2015, GB Energy Aviation provided United Airlines with its fueling “Service Level 2”, meeting its fueling needs safely and on time in Punta Cana. It is important to note that during months of high air traffic, such as December, United Airlines had up to 10 scheduled flights per day.

“Service Level 2” refers to a type of fueling service for aircraft in which the operator handles the aircraft’s panel and sets the amounts of aviation fuel in pounds for each tank on the aircraft. This is done in addition to “gas injecting” fuel. GB Energy Aviation operators set the amounts of fuel for each tank, which is then pumped into the wings and middle section of the aircraft.
GB Energy Aviation is associate member of the Joint Inspection Group (JIG), the international authority on operation and quality control for aviation fuel facilities in airports. Additionally, it is a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). It also signed a Technical Service Agreement (TSA) with Shell Aviation for training of personnel, auditing, operation manuals, gas injection manuals and quality control systems (SAQS), technical consulting and inspections, which requires high levels of quality and close supervision of the entire supply chain of aviation fuel.
