GB Energy adds another airport to its roster: Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ)

THIS  MARKET ENTRY INTO PUNTA CANA AIRPORT POSITIONS GB ENERGY

AS ONE OF THE LARGEST AND MOST RELIABLE SUPPLIERS IN THE CARIBBEAN.

 

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. GB Energy (GBE) recently signed a concession agreement with Punta Cana airport authorities and started operations on February 1st 2014.

The operations will be run under a Joint Operating Agreement (JOA) with Sol until May 31st, 2014 at which point GB Energy takes over effective on June 1st , 2014.

GB Energy’s entrance into Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) includes a strategic storage facility of 130 Kbbls on the Dominican Republic’s southern coast expected to be completed by the end of 2014. This will represent an inventory capacity of 27 days, which equals Punta Cana’s total airport demand allowing GB Energy to fulfill any potential Jet fuel shortage in the market. Furthermore, in order to comply with this commitment GBE will operate a fleet of trucks on a 24/7 basis that guarantees supply delivery and on site availability.

This latest location will position GB Energy as the largest and most reliable Aviation fuels supplier within the Caribbean region alongside its operations in Santiago – Cibao (STI), Samaná (AZS), Montego Bay (MBJ), Kingston (KIN), St Marteen (SXM), Port au Prince (PAP) and  Cap Haitian (CAP).

Punta Cana Airport’s addition is entirely aligned with GB Energy’s long-term strategic vision based on dependable supplies and on-time deliveries while complying with international quality and safety industry standards supported by a Technical Service Agreement with Shell Aviation.
