GB Energy inaugurates new supply facilities and safety systems at the Cibao Airport

and safety systems, built to the highest quality standards and
environmental protection.

 

Santiago, Dominican Republic.-

GB Energy presented both its new storage facilities for Jet A-1 aviation fuel as well as new Safety Systems constructed according to international industry standards at Cibao International Airport ensuring quality in service as well as deference for the environment.

The inauguration, held at the airport, was attended by GB Energy executives: Jesus Summo (Dominican Republic & St. Maarten CEO), Eliardo Cairo (Aviation Operations Manager – CARIBBEAN), Walkiria Caamaño (External Affairs Director – CARIBBEAN) and Ana Felipe (Aviation Superintendent). Cibao International Airport CEO, Victor Suarez and Miguelina Miguel, Operations Manager were also present.

Eliardo Cairo said: “With this new investment, GB Energy is increasing the storage tank’s capacity by over 200,000 gallons increasing average inventory days to 8 (days).” He continued to add: “this entire plan is intricately aligned with GB Group’s long-term strategic vision of providing consistent and swift product delivery to customers at the airports where we operate in and very much in line with industry quality and safety standards.”

Cairo continued to add:  “These new facilities will allow GB Energy to front supply eventualities in the country’s Jet A-1 fuel market by minimizing replenishment risks.”

The tank’s safety devices were built in compliance with international standards for aviation fuel tanks such as American Petroleum Institute (API) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).

GB Energy’s Operations staff at the airport enjoys extensive experience in handling aviation fuel having been trained in fuel handling and emergency procedures by internationally certified industry companies.
