GB Group announces signing of Purchase Sales Agreement (PSA) with Chevron to Acquire the Fuels Marketing and Aviation Businesses in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and St. Maarten.

With this transaction, GB Group will acquire the distribution and commercialization of petroleum products that Chevron currently owns in those markets.

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, October 31, 2011. The consortium GB Group, through its subsidiary GB Energy LTD., today announced that they have signed the Sales and Purchase Agreement to acquire Chevron assets in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and St. Maarten.

GB Group is one of the major private industrial groups in the Caribbean, with headquarters in Haiti, and offices in Dominican Republic and Miami, FL. The Chairman of the Group, Mr. Gilbert Bigio commented: “this transaction is part of our ongoing efforts to constantly search for new opportunities to expand our downstream fuel business in the Caribbean, keeping our focus to satisfy customer needs in the markets in which we operate”.
